Two women with tattoos applying CBD tattoo aftercare product to a person's back, which has multiple tattoos including a large tattoo on the neck.

While your artist will guide you, caring for your tattoo is your responsibility. Tattoos are essentially open wounds at first, making proper aftercare essential to prevent infection and promote healing. Long after it's healed, ongoing care—like protecting it from sun and environmental damage—will help keep your tattoo looking fresh, vibrant, and beautiful for years to come.

Leave the plastic wrap on for just an hour or so

  • Gently wash the tattoo with unscented soap and lukewarm water thoroughly after taking the wrap off and gently remove any excess blood that has dried on it.

  • Gently pat the tattoo dry after it is cleaned with a clean paper towel. Make sure you do not rub, but only pat.

  • Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion to the area AFTER 4 days.

  • Make sure you wash your hands carefully and thoroughly before attending your tattoo.

  • Repeat the process until you are fully healed. A fully healed tattoo will no longer scab and peel. It is recommended that you keep regularly cleansing the tattoo for 2 to 4 weeks until you see that it is completely healed.

  • Do not pick or peel at any of the scabs. Removing the scab may cause loss of ink and possible infections.

Without Second Skin

Delush x LouiseFlowerbloom CBD Aftercare Lotion

One of the best parts about being a creative is meeting and connecting with other like minded souls. This lead me to collaborate with Delush CBD. We wanted to create a tattoo aftercare that’s different from what’s on the market – not sticky, absorbs into the skin, 100% natural and effective.

With love and intention, we’ve formulated a lightweight shea butter based lotion to help heal fresh tattoos and revive your beloved pieces. An alchemy of CBD, Aloe Vera, Tamanu seed oil, Helichrysum & Tea Tree oil will help accelerate healing, retain ink vibrancy, bring down inflammation, soothe irritations and protect from bacteria and environmental damage.

Tattoos are such a beautiful expression of self. Take care and wear your art proudly.
